§ 500.042. Definitions.

For the purposes of the International Residential Code, 2012 Edition, as adopted, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings:

The term "approved certified sprinkler system" shall mean one that has been designed by an engineer who is licensed in the State of Kansas, and installed by a contractor licensed to do so by the Kansas State Fire Marshall, and approved by the County Building Code Official.
